As a Health and Safety Officer with a leading Main Building Contractor in Dublin, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees on various construction sites. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting safety inspections and producing risk assessments.
- Reviewing and updating Company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, and Safety Statement.
- Investigating, recording, and reporting accidents, incidents, and near-misses promptly, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented without delay.
- Providing relevant accident information for insurance purposes.
- Identifying new and ongoing safety-related training requirements and ensuring all mandatory training is reviewed and delivered on time.
- Ensuring that the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) is available for employees.
- Attending regular Health & Safety meetings.
Requirements:
- Relevant Health and Safety Qualification.
- Proactive approach to safety.
- 3-5 years’ or more experience working as a Health and Safety Officer on construction projects, with a focus on building projects.
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
