Quantity Surveyor
A leading project and construction cost consultancy in Dublin have a new opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager to join the growing team.
They provide a full range of management and specialist services spanning project lifecycles and some of their current projects include data centres, residential, industrial, retail, educational, public sector, leisure, healthcare as well as civils projects.
The ideal Quantity Surveyor will have previous experience within a cost consultancy environment who can competently provide cost management services to both new and existing clients and deliver projects from inception to completion.
Some of the duties and responsibilities are precontract documentation and post contract duties including cost planning, reporting, and agreeing variations, final accounts, issuing interim valuations, identifying risks and opportunities, administration and reporting to key stakeholders.
The successful candidate must be commercially aware, flexible and have ambition to progress within the organisation.
Experience and skills required:
- Minimum of degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
- Ideally 5 years’ post qualification experience within a cost consultancy OR developer environment
- Holding professional membership, or working towards it
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Good reporting and communication skills
- Compiling contract documentation, cost reports, preparing monthly valuations, preparation and agreement of final accounts and review / resolve claims
- Self motivated, ambitious with the ability to work on your own initiative and within a team environment
- Hold full eligibility to work in Ireland is essential
