Quantity Surveyor with at least 3 years’ experience required to join growing Civil Engineering company to work on various projects in the Dublin area. The Role:
- Measurement for valuations or the assessment of subcontractor’s accounts.
- Manage all Tenders from Start to Finish.
- Evaluate all new tenders received with Management
- Manage and coordinate tender control sheet (schedule and prioritize each tender)
- Coordinate review of tenders before submission
- Follow up on submitted tenders08
- Develop relationships with clients to ensure we are receiving suitable tender
- Monitor CIS for potential new jobs
- Establish and monitor CVR for each Live job and issue summaries for directors.
- Agree rates with all subcontractors
- Agree and maintain procedures and standard practices with contractors – Payment schedules, invoice submittal cut off points and contracts.
- Assess materials specification for each contract and manage files to include all certifications etc.
- Negotiate best terms with material suppliers for each new job
- Review PO issuing
- Review Prices and ensure prices are up to date on systems
- Run Weekly Meeting and present up to date CVR’s, programmes and present new tenders.
- Attend weekly meetings with PM’s with the view of keeping abreast of client programmes, stock levels on site and works completed across all jobs to date.
- Attend regular site visits.
- Manage workload for Junior QS.
- Oversee Junior QS and ensure valuations are correct and submitted in a timely manner
- Oversee and ensure sub-contractor payments are correct and made in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Previous site experience working with a main or specialised contractor (5 years minimum).
- Strong knowledge of construction industry and its practices.
- Qualified to Degree Level.
- Good technical ability and experience using Buildsoft Cubit an advantage.
- Ability to work independently when required.
Salary:
- €70k – €80k
