Senior Mechanical Estimator required for a leading Mechanical contractor to be based in their office in Mayo. The successful Senior Mechanical Estimator will play a key role in leading the Estimation team and will work very closely with the Managing Director on prioritising projects to be priced and ultimately producing accurate project tenders for the selected projects.

Duties
- Reviewing drawings and documents of projects to be tendered.
- Management of estimating team s workflow.
- Take-off of projects for tendering.
- Ensuring all deadlines are met on all outgoing tenders.
- Dealing with post tender queries / negotiations.
- Development & preparation of bid specific presentation.
- Liaising with clients & contractors.
- Verification that all material & specialist quotations used to from the tender are spec compliant.
- Advising Directors of bid/tender prospects – tenders, consultations, etc.
- Liaising with clients, consultancies, and main contractors commercial teams.
- Produce reports for internal management.
- Provide guidance and training to junior estimators.
- Occasional travel to sites within Ireland.
Requirements:
- Relevant Mechanical qualification (Trade or Degree) or Commercial qualification.
- 3+ years post graduate experience working with a Mechanical Contractor as an Estimator.
- Must display excellent time management as time is of the essence when preparing BoQ s.
- Must be proficient in MS Office, Trimble and CostX.
- Knowledge and experience in one or more of these areas is essential: HVAC, Process Piping Systems, Chillers, & Building Services.
- An excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical disciplines, both internal and external.
