Junior Health and Safety Officer with 1+ years’ experience required to join a well-established and busy specialist contractor based in County Monaghan Our client has an excellent pipeline of work in Ireland and in Mainland Europe working on various large building projects for blue-chip clients. Excellent role for the locally based candidate, you will avoid the everyday Dublin commute whilst still working on the top projects in the country. This is a primarily head office based role with occasional travel required.
Role:
- Maintain and develop Safety files on a project by project basis.
- The ability to work within a team & on own initiative with excellent attention to detail.
- Generate Risk Assessments & Method statements (RAMS).
- Maintain and develop Construction site standards in line with client expectations.
- Carry out site audits and inspections.
- Carry out safety inductions and toolbox talks.
- Strong Organisational and communication skills – verbal and written.
- Desire to work in a growing company.
- Familiar with construction site regulations an advantage.
Requirements:
- Relevant Health and Safety Qualification /Diploma or higher.
- 2 years+ working as a Health & Safety Officer / Advisor on construction projects in Ireland or the UK.
- Must be proactive and be able to work as part of a team.
- Strong leadership skills and able to take the initiative.
- Strong IT skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must speak fluent English and be eligible to work in Ireland.
Package:
- €40,000 – €50,000
