Bid Manager required for an award-winning Top Tier Main Building Contractor. The Bid Manager will assemble a bid team with the relevant service / product / business knowledge required to prepare a winning bid, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process. Responsibilities include introduction and implementation of all necessary bid procedures, governance, and process. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It will require strong people management and commercial skills.

Responsibilities:
- Direct detailed tender process.
- Produce tender responsibilities Matrix and allocate duties/ request additional resource if required.
- Review tender deliverables matrix produced by proposals team and allocate owners and review progress.
- Arrange and Chair weekly review meetings and issue notes/ actions.
- Arrange site visits (all other team members to be made aware)
- Obtain photographs of site and locality.
- Programme in bid submission documents with proposals staff.
- Be central point of contact with Client team and Sisk team (This may vary depending on other members of team’s previous relationships with Client team)
- Agree tender submission format with Project Sponsor/Director and Pre-Con Director.
- Attend mid tender interviews.
- Meet with key subcontractors to assess methodology and programme.
- Produce schedule of information required. Co-ordinate production of the submission document. (All team members to contribute)
- Preparation of content of the tender interview presentations.
- Contributing to the written proposal – both in terms of content and presentation (such as preparation of a management summary)
- Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer.
- Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process.
- Attend and chair tender adjudication. Or (internal) Mid Bid risk reviews etc.
Requirements:
- Proven capability in managing and winning, multi-million-pound tenders.
- Ideally has a background in tendering and experience of bid management from opportunity identification through to project win, and will provide valuable input into opportunity qualification, win strategies, commercial discussions and design solutions.
- Must be comfortable working at a senior level and interacting with customers at CEO/Director Level.
- They will be fully conversant with the competitive marketplace and have an understanding of commercial risk and opportunity.
- They will have the ability to manage a team and control and implement the internal preconstruction governance procedures.
