Site Manager (Relocation to Canada)
We have an exciting opening for a Site Manager to join one of Canada’s largest Main Contractors within their Building Division. This role offers a unique opportunity to relocate to Canada and manage a range of impactful projects, including high-rise, commercial, healthcare, airport, defence, and educational developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Leadership: Implement the company’s safety program, ensuring all field staff and subcontractors uphold a safe working environment.
- People Management: Foster strong, positive relationships with field staff and subcontractors to support team morale and cohesion.
- Team Supervision & Development: Provide training, coaching, and feedback to team members, and conduct timely performance evaluations.
- Project Scheduling: Assist in creating and refining project schedules to maintain timelines.
- Contract Management: Oversee contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, site instructions, and change notices to ensure adherence to all terms and conditions.
- Issue Resolution: Address project issues like design deficiencies and schedule delays, working with the Project Manager to find solutions.
- Subcontractor Performance: Monitor subcontractor performance, particularly in safety, quality, and adherence to project scope.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure building materials and workmanship meet project standards.
- Manpower Management: Manage staffing levels to meet safety, scheduling, and quality goals.
- Documentation: Maintain daily reports, safety inspections, and schedule updates.
Requirements:
- Degree, diploma, or trade qualification in Construction or Engineering.
- 7+ years’ experience in Construction/Site Management with a main contractor in Ireland or the UK.
- Proven record of successfully delivering projects valued over €10 million.
- Strong understanding of construction industry practices, technical drawings, and standards.
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Plan Grid.
- Willing to relocate to Canada permanently within 6-9 months.

- Salary: $150,000 – $220,000 CAD (€120,000 – €150,000) + vehicle allowance.
