An exciting opportunity awaits a talented Quantity Surveyor with at least 3 years of experience to join one of Ireland’s most rapidly expanding developers, based in Waterford. The Quantity Surveyor will be involved in all aspects of cost management from project inception through to completion. You will collaborate with a highly motivated team, managing budgets, handling procurement, and ensuring financial efficiency throughout the build process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, manage budgets, and control project finances
- Oversee procurement of subcontractors, negotiate contracts, and ensure value for money
- Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and cost plans
- Provide accurate cost reports and forecasts for stakeholders
- Manage variations, contract claims, and final accounts
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within residential development but this is not essential.
- Strong financial management and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
