Mechanical Engineer
Mechanical Engineer required to join a Tier 1 Contractor on Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Education, Commercial and Data Centre Projects in Dublin. The Mechanical Engineer will report into the Project Manager and will be responsible for the working with a team of Mechanical sub-contractors ensuring the successful delivery of Mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive review of drawings, specifications, and schedules to verify alignment with applicable standards and industry guidelines. Ensure installations comply with project specifications and adhere to the Project QA plan, including pre-established benchmarks. Develop alternative engineering solutions with detailed calculations and sketches for client review.
- Familiarize with Design/IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand project scope, ensuring specification compliance and scheduling priorities. This will involve creating and managing Requests for Information (RFI) to submit to the client.
- Use engineering software tools such as Dialux or Relux, Amtech Pro Design, Navisworks, BIM 360, Procore, or equivalents. Review coordinated construction drawings and documentation, and prepare and track technical submittals for client approval
- Thoroughly evaluate specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specifications, relevant industry standards, and the design intent. Coordinate with the procurement team to prepare and track the procurement schedule.
- Review the BCAR preliminary inspection plan and work with the quality team to ensure it is followed. Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures, with careful record-keeping. Collaborate with the project manager to develop the project close-out report.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
- 3+ Years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience working on Pharmaceutical or Semi-Conductor projects is essential.
- Good IT skills, particularly in AutoCAD, Navisworks and Microsoft Office Packages.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines.
- A UK or EU passport is an advantage.
