ICT Engineer (EU Rotation)

ICT Engineer required to join a large M&E contractor on a Hyper-scale Data Centre project in Belgium. Our client has projects in Ireland, Europe and the UK and work across many sectors including Pharmaceutical, Power, Commercial, and Data Centres.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Act as the site-based lead engineer for Telecom/ICT/Security systems.
- Design and specify Telecom/ICT/Security solutions in compliance with current regulations and design standards.
- Work directly with the project manager to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.
- Develop and agree on design processes and deliverables.
- Lead pre-construction engineering activities, including design development, construction details, services coordination, technical submittals, and sub-contracts.
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC systems and execute project reviews.
- Provide technical support to estimating and commercial teams.
- Manage end-to-end procurement during the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and subordinates.
Requirements:
- RCDD/CNIDP certification or similar.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience working on Hyperscale Data Centres or large-scale construction projects.
- 3-5 years of industry experience in a similar role.
- Experience leading a team (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong vendor management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The successful ICT Engineer must be in Ireland or the EU and be eligible to work in Europe.
