I am hiring for a leading developer in Dublin who is seeking a General Foreperson (Logistics & Lifting Operations) for their large scale housing project in South Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive team delivering large-scale developments, with strong support, training and career progression.
Responsibilities
- Manage health & safety on site, ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant workplace.
- Plan, organize, and control the flow of materials, plant, and equipment using logistics software and coordination meetings.
- Coordinate deliveries, storage, waste management, and housekeeping to optimize workflow.
- Supervise lifting activities including cranes, hoists, and teleporters (full training provided if required).
- Review lifting plans, verify equipment certifications, and lead toolbox talks.
- Set up and maintain logistics areas including vehicle/pedestrian routes, laydown, and recycling areas.
- Liaise with engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure efficient site operations.
- Actively monitor programme targets and report on progress, addressing potential delays.
Requirements
- Trade, logistics, or lifting background preferable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
- Certification as an appointed person/lifting supervisor beneficial but not essential (training will be provided).
