Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Salary: €45K – €65K DOE
Role:
We’re seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading MEP consultancy in Dublin. You’ll contribute to the full project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through to design, site inspections, and client handover, across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and residential projects.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver electrical building services design solutions to current regulations and design standards
• Carry out feasibility studies, option appraisals, and detailed design using Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD, and Revit
• Prepare technical specifications, reports, and tender documentation
• Attend client and design team meetings, collaborating closely with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines
• Monitor progress and quality of electrical installations on-site, providing technical support to construction teams
• Lead pre-construction engineering activities, including design development, coordination, and technical submittals
• Work independently on smaller projects or as part of a larger electrical team under a Senior Engineer
Requirements:
• Level 8 Degree in Electrical, Building Services, or Energy Engineering
• Minimum 3+ years’ electrical design experience within a consultancy environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical design standards and regulations
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux, and MS Office Suite
• Excellent communication and technical reporting skills
