BIM Coordinator is required to join an Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Contractor in Dublin. They are heavily involved in the Industrial sector across a range of Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Process and food industry projects in both Ireland and internationally. They have a very strong order of books moving into 2021 and as a result are looking for a motivated M&E BIM Coordinator.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Author and produce M&E BIM Models leveraging standard BIM Authoring tools with daily model management, administration and maintenance.
- Set up linked models and coordinate across all disciplines.
- Coordinate and Manage BIM Project data sets and project setup.
- Federated Model creation and management, with strong understanding of clash rendition analysis.
- Preparation of BEP s and Project specific training/control documentation.
- Inform and guide other members of the design team of the optimum workflows for BIM authoring.
- Understand and work within government and award body standards, such as BS1192, PAS1192 and ISO19650 frameworks.
- Create and manage CDE s on a per project basis.
- Knowledge of working within BIM360 design.
- Support company BIM manager in rolling out of standards, protocols etc and offer guidance on M&E
- specific workflows and considerations.
- Manage health and safety requirements relevant to the work being undertaken
- Other tasks, as may be required to support the delivery of projects
- Assist if required in compiling Submissions, Proposals and Quotations for new business
Requirements:
- Level 7/8 qualification in mechanical or electrical building services engineering design
- 4+ years experience as a BIM Coordinator for M&E design within a consultancy or contractor
- Extensive knowledge of BIM Authoring and Management tools Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of other design software s
- Be able to provide support and direction to Jr. Staff
- The successful BIM Coordinator must be in the UK or Ireland and be eligible to work in Ireland.
